Researchers requirements for IHC staining are unique and can be demanding and overwhelming.  This course satisfies the needs of researchers for the knowledge base and techniques necessary to perform IHC staining of all types of antibodies on human and animal tissues in a simplified manner.

This course is a comprehensive hands-on lab class designed to train researchers with the latest techniques available for performing IHC staining  with ease and confidence.

The attendees will be trained in the following topics:

  • Deparaffinization and tissue preparation for IHC staining

  • Epitope Retrieval

  • Primary antibodies for human and animal tissues IHC staining

  • Use of reactive and cross-reactive primary antibodies

  • Serial dilution techniques for accurate dilution of primary antibodies

  • Titration of concentrate primary antibodies for achieving equivalence zone

  • How to avoid pro-zone and post-zone staining (weak or no staining)

  • Selection of appropriate staining reagents for human and animal tissues

  • Stain Enhancement techniques

  • Hands-on IHC staining of human tissues

  • Hands-on IHC staining of animal tissues

  • Hands-on IHC staining of mouse-on- mouse (mouse primary antibody on mouse tissue)

  • Background staining eradication

  • Control slides, negative and positive

  • Counterstaining

  • Mounting and preservation of stained slides

  • Microscopic examination of stained slides.
